After obtaining his undergraduate degree from the University at Buffalo, he then studied at Florida A&M University where he received his Juris Doctor and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Joshua is admitted to practice in both New York and Florida. He spent time in the Public Defender’s office defending indigent clients where he developed a passion for protecting the rights’ of those who are charged.
After opening up his own law office in New York, Joshua developed a personal injury practice and has gained key experiences in prosecuting claims for the injured. He has made a habit of making sure his clients get the medical treatment they deserve. With Joshua’s history defending charges related to vehicular offenses, he has proven to be an invaluable asset in aiding those whom were injured in vehicular accidents.
Josh is currently a member of the Florida Bar, New York State Bar Association, New York State Defender’s Association, the Erie County Bar Association and the Trial Lawyer’s Association.
Kristina is a Buffalo product from beginning to end. She gained her Bachelors from Buffalo State and graduated from University at Buffalo School of Law. Kristina has worked at various social services organizations around Western New York; where she helped citizens obtain various needed services and information that is critical for surviving. Through these experiences, Kristina has gained a keen sense of helping the “little guy” when their back is against the wall.
As the head of our Real Estate division, Kristina Ramos is a Real Estate attorney providing services in commercial real estate, residential real estate, and Bank Mortgage work.
Kristina is dedicated to protecting each clients rights by providing assistance regarding the drafting of contract, contract review, title examination, closing document preparation, closing document review, and any pre and post closing issues. She is adept at handling any complex issues that may arise related to the property of interest.
With years of experience, her strengths allow her to handle related due diligence including; corporate and tax issues, financing, land use and zoning, environmental and judgment removals.

Dean Smith is a 1989 graduate of the University of Buffalo Law School with over twenty-five years of trial experience in all areas of personal injury law, including car accidents, construction and workplace accidents, slip and falls, and medical malpractice. He has dedicated his entire legal career to fighting for the rights of the people he has represented, whether it was pursuing justice for crime victims as a prosecutor in the Erie County District Attorney’s office, or helping people obtain fair compensation for the injuries they suffered because of someone else’s carelessness. Dean is a highly experienced and battle-tested courtroom attorney whose service in the legal profession has always involved helping to level the playing field for people who need it most, especially those who suddenly find their lives turned upside down by an injury and all of its consequences.
Dean is a member of the New State Trial Lawyers Association and its Western Region Affiliate (an organization dedicated exclusively to protecting and increasing the rights of negligence victims), the New York State Bar Association, and the Erie County Bar Association. He resides in East Aurora with his wife and two children.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Ann was a classroom teacher who earned her degree in Elementary Education from Buffalo state College. She graduated from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans and was admitted to the Louisiana state and federal courts in 1989. She practiced primarily in the area of insurance defense prior to serving as a confidential law clerk to a Circuit Court Judge.
Ann was admitted to the New York State bar in 1993 and has had broad experience in matrimonial, family, guardianship and civil litigation. She has been a Village Attorney, where she focused in writing ordinances and addressing municipal issues for the Village of Kenmore.
After leaving private practice, Ann was a court manager as the Deputy Chief Clerk of Niagara County Supreme and County Courts. In this capacity she became totally familiar with the intricacies of New York courts and was a leader in the planning committee for the Niagara County Integrated Domestic Violence Court. During this time, Ann instructed other attorneys in Article 81 guardianship and IDV training programs.
Ann’s commitment to serving the public was most apparent when she became the Senior Attorney for the Eighth Judicial District Court Help Center, an office for assisting pro se litigants and attorneys in their navigation through the complex court systems in New York. She worked with Judges and litigants alike, and was appointed to serve on many access to justice initiatives such as the Eighth District Pro Bono Committee. She regularly trained court clerks across the state in how to serve unrepresented litigants.
Ann is a member of the specially trained Attorney for the Child Panel. As such she is appointed by Family Court Judges to represent children in Erie and Niagara Counties in custody/visitation, family offense, paternity, abuse and neglect, PINS and Juvenile Delinquency matters.
Ann brings her experience as a gifted public servant and well-rounded practitioner to the firm’s matrimonial and family law areas. She is a member of the Bar Association of Erie County, Women’s Bar Association of WNY and is on the Matrimonial and Family Court Practice and Procedure Committees. She currently is a board member with the Women Lawyers of Western New York. She has served on the Board of the Roswell Alliance at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and actively supports the Family Justice Center of WNY.

From the time Joe was old enough to hold a paint brush all the way through college, he worked as a professional house painter alongside his father and two brothers all over Western New York. This instilled in Joe a sense of hard-work and an understanding of what it feels like to earn an honest living.
At his 2014 graduation from SUNY Buffalo Law School Joe was awarded the prestigious James M. Kieffer Trial Excellence Award which is given to the graduate with the most outstanding proficiency in trial advocacy. He was on the law school’s nationally recognized trial team and in 2013 he led his team to the finals in the James Johnson ’49 National Civil Rights Trial Competition.
Prior to law school, Joe was a professional musician, performing lead guitar for national recording artist More Than Me. In 2010, he led his group to new heights, winning an international battle of the bands competition, where the grand prize was performing with Paul McCartney in Hyde Park, England in front of 50,000 people.
Currently, Joe focuses his practice on representing persons who are injured as the result of someone’s negligence. He devotes his entire career to helping injured persons and their families, as he battles the big insurance companies to get the maximum settlement his clients deserve.

Focusing in civil litigation, Phil practices in the area of negligence matters including automobile liability and premises liability. Phil was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. After graduating from St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute he earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Medaille College (B.A. cum laude, 2012) where he was a member of the Men’s Basketball team for 4 years. Phil went on the graduate from University of Buffalo Law School (J.D., 2016)

David received his undergraduate degree from SUNY Binghamton with honors in 1989 and is a 1993 graduate of the Western New England College School of Law. David comes to Ramos & Ramos with almost 20 years of prior civil litigation experience. In his time as a trial attorney, he has represented people injured in car accidents, workplace accidents as well as those injured in falls on property owned by others and has also defended school districts and municipalities as well as insureds of various private insurance carriers in all areas of personal injury litigation.
David has significant trial experience and has taken in excess of 25 jury verdicts on behalf of both plaintiff and defendant. David’s defense experience and prior tenure as house counsel for a major insurance company affords our firm’s clients the unique advantage of having an attorney who is able to see a case from both sides and properly assess both its strengths and weaknesses.
David is a member of the Erie County Bar Association as well as a past member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and Western New York Trial Lawyers Association. He lives in Amherst and has two beautiful little daughters who are his pride and joy. His hobbies are acoustic guitar and voice, working out and playing tennis.
From the time Samantha sat in her first Civil Rights class in college, she knew she was meant to be a lawyer. She is a first-generation college student and has overcome many challenges in order to become the attorney she is today. Samantha is a graduate of Damen College with a B.S. in Paralegal Studies and a 2018 graduate of the University at Buffalo Law School. She participated in moot court in college as well as law school. She is currently a member of the New York State Bar Association as well as the New York State Injured Workers Bar Association.
Samantha is a hardworking attorney who doesn’t mind putting in the long hours needed to succeed. She believes in open lines of communication with her clients at every step of the workers’ compensation process.
